Setting up your web browser

Macintosh: For Internet Explorer or ICab: Make sure scripting and Java are enabled in your preferences. You can edit your preferences by selecting Preferences from the Edit menu.

For Netscape:Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your preferences. You can edit your preferences by selecting Preferences from the Edit menu. The setting for JavaScript is in the "Advanced" category. Click here for a screenshot of the JavaScript setting in Netscape 4.x.

When you have made these changes, click here to test whether you need to do additional setup.

Windows: For Internet Explorer: Make sure the Internet Options for your web browser are set so that scripting and Plug-ins are enabled for Internet content. You can edit these options in IE 5.0 by selecting Internet Options from the Tools menu (View menu in IE 4.0) and choosing the Security Tab. If the Internet content zone is set to a custom level, verify that scripting and plugins are enabled. Otherwise, no action is necessary.
