What is an ESCOT Problem-of-the-Week?

ESCOT Intergration Teams create interactive mathematics activities for middle school students. These activities are available on the Internet as Math Forum Problems of the Week (PoWs). ESCOT PoWs (or EPoWs) are designed using sofware components that support powerful, interactive mathematics learning.

EPoW's are aligned with NCTM standards and foster high quality mathematical learning experiences

How can I use EPoWs in my classroom?

EPoWs can be used to supplement normal classroom mathematics instruction, or as stand-alone activities for student exploration. Please see our Teacher Support Page for more information.

What kind of computer software/hardware do I need?

To run ESCOT EPoWs you will need a Java-enabled Internet browser. Please see our Technical Requirements page for specific hardware requirements and software download instructions.
