Classroom users serve as the testbed for ESCOT interactive activities by providing valuable feedback on activity interface, educational content, and classroom feasibiliy.

Classroom Users

How teachers and students get involved

Teachers and students around the country serve in the ESCOT testbed as classroom users. Through a partnership with the Math Forum, ESCOT activites are made available for classroom use as online Problems-of-the-Week (EPoWs). Each week, a new EPoW is made available for students to download. Students can submit electronic solutions which are then mentored by ESCOT staff. Lesson planning around EPoWs is facilitated by ESCOT Teacher Pages describing the mathematical ideas, pedagogical goals and NCTM standards behind the activity.

Teachers and students can also participate directly in ESCOT development efforts as members of authoring teams or EPoW Testers.
